  2. Eliminate or reduce alcohol consumption : Alcohol alters serotonin levels, which raises stress levels.
  3. Eat a balanced diet : there are more than 10 million neurotransmitters between the digestive tract and the brain that communicate in two ways. Therefore, what we eat affects our mind. Foods with folic acid (asparagus, watercress, spinach or nuts) and with vitamin B6 (fish, chicken, bananas and vegetables) stimulate the production of serotonin, known as the hormone of happiness.
  4. Get enough sleep: when we sleep for 8 hours, our body temperature drops, as does our heart rate and nerves. This causes anxiety levels to decrease.
  5. Exercise : when exercising, the body releases endorphins, these are responsible for controlling pain and producing a feeling of well-being.
  6. Accept that you cannot control everything : focus only on the important things that you can solve. If you can focus on the solution and not the problem, anxiety levels will decrease.
  7. Do the best you can : most of the time perfection does not exist, do not look for it or torment yourself when things do not go as you thought.
  8. Discover your fears : analyze the situations that cause you anxiety, you can even keep a diary. Once you discover the cause of your anxiety, work to resolve it or seek help from a specialist or friends.
  9. Trust yourself : once you learn to trust yourself and your ability to move forward, you will see how the anxiety will disappear.
  10. Take breaths and relaxation exercises : Deep breathing exercises help oxygenate the brain and regulate the heart rate. Set aside time each day, even 5 minutes, to do breathing or relaxation exercises.
  11. Disconnect : look for leisure times, breaks are necessary for health and mind. Detach yourself from situations that cause you stress. Spend time with other activities, such as going to the movies, going for a walk, or meeting friends.
